The London Film Festival season has started and my efforts to find films with older women has yielded a few interesting films. I will just say a few words about them as I do not like pronouncing on films without examining them at length. Louise Wimmer (2011) : a naturalistic film about a middle-aged woman cleaner.
Where Do We Go Now? (2011): The second film directed by the Lebanese Director Nadine Labaki (first film Caramel). For me this very entertaining film, set during the civil war in the mountains of Lebanon, reminded me of the Lebanese sense of humour in difficult circumstances. A huge female cast shows the possibility of female solidarity across faiths and culture.
Coriolanus (2011) : Apart from being Shakespeare it is a must-see for Vanessa Redgrave’s amazing performance as old woman and mother. (in terms of age signs, not a line, wrinkle of her face was concealed )
Old Age and Feature Films 
about the Lebanese film, i am surprised that you didnt make more comment on it! i found it a fantastic film where women old and young shine, it is full of humour and love, i laughed till i cried. The solidarity between women of different age, religion and culture was uplifting, these women who try to keep the peace in their village becasue of the idiocy of men who gets sucked by war and conflict…. no wonder we cannot achieve peace ., may be it is time we become as creative and put sticks into the wheels of our masculin politicians.

Sorry I do not know the distributors. Just keep looking for it in the next few months. It is bound to be distributed in London.
